My review:Although this is described
as a book for preschoolers, it will be of most use to 5-6 year olds. It is presented in a familiar school workbook format that includes
counting, simple dot-to-dots, matching objects, mazes, and stickers.
Each section is based on a Bible verse organized according to the Great
Adventure timeline. Young children like to do "school" alongside their
older siblings and this book will help fulfill that desire.
One
quibble that I have with it is that the illustrations are cartoons
rather than realistic portrayals of the people of the Bible. My philosophy has always been to emphasize that the Bible isn't a "storybook" but the
story of living, breathing people from history. I think it is important
that this workbook be used alongside a children's Bible that contains more
realistic illustrations.
