Each Connecting with History Program includes:
- Daily lesson plans for one year of literature-based historical studies for the whole family (grades 1-12)
- Book lists and reading assignments for all age levels
- Chronological units, organized by salvation history themes and patron saints
- Teacher prep articles to provide an overview of historical and salvation history context
- Discussion questions with guiding references to the Catechism of the Catholic Church
- Timeline lists of people and events
- Historical geography assignments
- Composition assignments for creative writing, essays, and research papers
- Hands-on activities
- Memory work, including:
- History song (Rhyme-Line Sing-Along)
- Themed poems, Bible verses, and famous quotes related to the time period and theme
- Selections from the Baltimore Catechism #1

This sample includes one full unit of lesson plans for teaching all age levels. All four volumes of the program have the same layout.
