Very little is known about Saint Christopher, but he probably lived during the third century. According to legend, he was a giant who decided to seek out the greatest king on earth and to serve him. After meeting a holy man who told him about Jesus, Christopher agreed to follow the man's advice and to serve Jesus by carrying people across a dangerous river. One day a small boy asked to be carried across the river - it was Jesus! Today, Saint Christopher is known as the patron saint of travelers. Reading this story can encourage us to follow in the footsteps of Saint Christopher, who devoted his life to serving Jesus by helping others.
