A Story of Saint Ignatius Loyola Price: $10.95 Description More Information Ignatius was born in Spain in the year 1491. He became a Spanish soldier, and he lived a sinful life until he was thirty years old. After he was wounded in battle, Ignatius asked for some books to read during his long recovery. Instead of novels about romance or adventure, his brother brought him a book entitled "Lives of the Saints." Reading this story can encourage us to follow in the footsteps of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, who was drawn closer to God by reading stories about the saints. Level 3 books are about 128-144 pages each and are written for about a junior high reading level or higher, although some younger readers are able to read them as well because of the larger print size. This series has books about well-known saints, but it also includes stories about saints and other Catholics that you don't hear about very often. Share your knowledge of this product.
