Connecting with HIstory
arrived today!! I'm just getting a chance to read the introductory
pages tonight. Wow!! I'm impressed. Your curriculum contains the best
features of the myriad history programs I have used in our 21 years of
homeschooling -- and it's CATHOLIC! Thank you very, very much!

I'm very impressed with the
organization, suggested materials and approach that includes the overall
Catholic Christian perspective and the many cultures active at a given
time. Thank you for very much for the obvious great effort that has been
put forward for the advantage of homeschooling Catholic families!

I'm greatly impressed with the use of
the cross to explain history and the timeline. In other programs they
mention the fact that history revolves around the Incarnation but you
don't "get" it until you see it the way you have drawn it. The
addressing of personal salvation history is unique and a real plus to
focus on. D.O. |

I like CWH because it is so flexible and
can be adapted to my plan as well as other family's plans and will grow
with us! M.O. |

Having the syllabus has been very
helpful to me because I haven't had to hunt for resources or good
reading material. You two have done a tremendous job of coming u
with wonderful resources and I am most grateful.

I spent months trying to come up with a
history program from a Catholic perspective, but had no clue where to
start. Thank you Sonya and Andrea for doing all the work for me. We are
learning more than I could have hoped. I feel so lucky to have found
such a wonderful history guide. Out of all the curriculum choices I've
made, CWH is without a doubt the most rewarding and satisfying.

...each unit is so full of interesting reading & activities that I decided to just take my
time and thoroughly enjoy each unit - instead of trying to stay on a
schedule. At the end of each unit, we've tried to have a final
project/meal where we have foods from the period studied, display any
hands-on projects the children have done, read reports to my husband,
etc. We did a "desert nomad" meal for the Patriarchs, a Passover meal
for Egypt, and a Greek meal and simple plays as we finished the Return
from Exile and began the Maccabean Revolt. Next week we'll finish up
with a Roman meal, "public readings" and Roman games as we head into the
New Testament.
As I read this, I feel that I sound like one of those "supermoms" whose
school day is filled with lots of enriching activities. I really am not
creative at all, and on my own my teaching is pretty dull....but your
materials make it easy to make learning fun!
Even if you had never produced anything beyond that first book, know that
your work has blessed my family greatly. We are very grateful! L.O.

I
want to thank you for all that you have done with CWH. It has made
such an incredible difference in my life! My Husband and I know that
this history program, because it gives us a Catholic spine for all
of our teaching, is invaluable to our children's education. My
children are having a blast with the program and I am so gratified
because I can see that they "get" God's eternal plan! K.O.
