Historical
coloring books have been a favorite activity in
our family for all of our 15
years of home educating.
Many of the coloring books we carry are the same
ones our family has enjoyed for years.
These are not just busy-work, they provide hands-on learning experiences,
contain stories and historical information that we use in our studies and are
also useful as sources for narrations, copy work and story-retellings.
The finished pictures also make great additions to a Student History
Notebook.
We keep a supply of good quality colored pencils and the
children often color their
pictures while I read aloud to them,
or while listening to audiotapes.
